About
A changing policy landscape
Driving impact in trade policy
In a world of increasing trade complexity—characterised by intricate value chains, advanced technologies, and layered regulations—the need for robust monitoring and evaluation of trade agreements is more critical than ever. The Trade Policy Hub (TPH) is a trusted partner, delivering high-quality research, in-depth analysis, and actionable trade policy solutions that address these complexities.
Governments, international organisations, and stakeholders face the challenge of ensuring trade contributes to sustainable development, inclusivity, and environmental and social goals. Trade plays a vital role in sustainable development but often faces criticism due to its societal trade-offs and environmental impacts. In this context, TPH supports evidence-based policymaking, equipping stakeholders to navigate trade policy trade-offs and implement effective policies.
About TPH
Specialists in Trade and Policy Research
Our growing team excels in both primary and secondary research, using qualitative and quantitative methodologies to provide comprehensive evidence and analysis across a wide range of topics. We specialise in core trade and investment policy issues, including public procurement, intellectual property rights, trade and sustainable development, digital trade, digital policies, industrial policy, and economic security.
Our mission is to empower governments, private organisations, and civil society to address today’s critical challenges, including the complex interlinkages between trade and sustainable development, trade and industrial policy, and trade and security.
Since our launch in 2019, TPH has been driven by the success of sustainability impact assessments and the recognised need for a more structural approach to monitoring and evaluating trade policies. Based at The London School of Economics and Political Science, we are housed at LSE Consulting, committed to delivering impactful solutions in an ever-evolving global trade landscape.
